Here is an original Feb 1962 VINTAGE (The serial number is B226122) men's Schwinn Fleet beach cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BLACK AND WHITE 2-tone colored factory paint. If you like cool original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, frame mounted TANK original "reverse screen" chainguard, Schwinn cruiser style seat, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, (Have dents) front fender mounted headlight, (no lens or bulb), cool pedals, and more! I BELIEVE this bike to be mostly all original parts from when it was new! (see pics and be your own judge) The REAR CARRIER rack in chrome is included but not attached. (has one loose tine but is original for this bike)
*The tires are 26x1 3/4". They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has factory white painted and pinstriped Schwinn S7 rims front and rear with a Bendix rear hub. *The bike is an original TWO-SPEED "kickback" with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike or to change gears) These are a BLAST to ride! If you have never ridden one, I highly recommend it! Yes, this one does shift gears and brakes.
Add up the cost of the tank, rack and the kickback... if bought individually, it would cost almost as much as the whole bike! (buying a whole bike like this is the smart way to do things)
*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 30 1/2". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is not bad for its age! The paint is ORIGINAL which is great! (has chips scratches wear etc. It is good look!) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) NOTE the neck bolt is broke (see pics) and the neck is stuck in place. It wont effect anything if you ride it but I like to be honest. (soaking it with kroil and a few days usually get it out if you ever decide to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.
*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
